La France de Harriet Beecher Stowe
The Alliance Française of Cincinnati and The Friends of the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, Inc. will present a lecture by Heidi Hagedorn entitled “La France de Harriet Beecher Stowe/Harriet Beecher Stowe’s France” on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 4-6 p.m. at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.
The lecture by Ms. Hagedorn will be given in both the French and English languages.
Ms. Hagedorn is a recent graduate of Thomas More College where she majored in History, International Studies and French. Her French major was earned under the auspices of a collaborative program between Thomas More College and Northern Kentucky University. She is a candidate for a Master’s Degree in French at the University of Kentucky. Among other previous presentations, Ms. Hagedorn has given lectures on “The Paris of Thomas Jefferson” and “The Presence of Foreign Language Education in Elementary Schools.”
The Friends of the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, Inc., is an organization dedicated to the study of the life of Harriet Beecher Stowe, the cultivation of the relevancy of her philosophy in today’s world and the maintenance of the Harriet Beecher Stowe House in Walnut Hills, an Ohio Historical Society site in which she lived.
