Mid-August picnic at Winton Woods

Last year s picutureThe Alliance Francaise is proud to continue the now-established tradition of the mid-August potluck picnic!

Please join us for French ambiance, fun and great food at the Daley Hill Shelter at Winton Woods Park.

The shelter is located in close proximity to Parky’s Farm. Those with children may want to come early prior to the picnic and take advantage of Parky’s Farm, which features live animals, pony rides, a farm themed playground, wagon rides, and play barn.

We will assemble at the shelter at 5:00PM and the potluck dinner will begin about 6:00PM. Please bring a dish with enough food to share and your own drinks. There will be a contest for the best dish.

If you do not have a park sticker, please let the gate attendant know that you are coming to attend the French Alliance picnic and you will be permitted to enter for free. There is ample parking available at the shelter.

The picnic will end at dusk, when the shelter must be cleaned up, at about 9:00PM.

Registration link is coming soon!

How to find the shelter:

if you come from the South, so that you are driving northwards on Winton Rd (from Ronald Reagan Highway / I-126, for instance) you will have to turn left on Southshore Dr. This intersection is before going downhill to cross the bridge over the lake!

if you come from the North on Winton Rd (going southwards from I-275): Pass Sharon Rd and then Srpingdale Rd. Pass the entrance to Winton harbor and the bridge over the lake. Start going up-hill and find the intersection with Southshore Dr on your right. Continue until you find the shelter, at the intersection of Southshore Dr and Daly Rd.
