April 26th – Van Gogh’s Bedroom in Arles: Art and Daydreaming – A Lecture by Richard R. Brettell, Ph.D.

2014 04 26_Brettell_Taft_Van_GoghLecture_The BedroomEnjoy a return visit to Cincinnati by Dr. Richard Brettell, Margaret McDermott Distinguished Chair, Art and Aesthetics, University of Texas at Dallas, and one of the art world’s most charismatic and gifted speakers. Revered for his captivating presentations, Dr. Brettell will discuss Van Gogh’s highly acclaimed masterpiece Bedroom in Arles.

In addition to the lecture on April 26, 2014, you are also invited to join Dr. Brettell the evening before the lecture at a special pre-event party. You will enjoy Provençal cassoulet, dessert and fine wines along with an intimate visit to Van Gogh’s bedroom re-created in the newly opened Loft of The Barn, home of the Women’s Art Club of Cincinnati.
