MAL Book Discussion and Analysis
“Mal”, a fragmented narrative auto-fiction by Louisiana native Chase Cormier. Perroquet, the young protagonist, discovers his place, his identity, his family relationships, while immersed in a rich Louisiana French “cadien” (Cajun) culture from language to cooking, butchering, musical styles and more!
The primary objective of the course is to develop the student’s oral proficiency. Emphasis is on idiomatic expressions, used in daily speech, pronunciation and vocabulary building.
Each session lasts 90 minutes.
The proficiency level for this class is Intermediate Level (B2).
An event with the author will be offered to the Alliance Française de Cincinnati members and students after the mini-session. This session, will include « Book discussion » with the author.
