If you need flexibility to accommodate your busy schedule, or feel that you will benefit from learning at your own pace, private lessons with one of our instructors are perfect for you. Private lessons are designed to meet your personal goals: preparing for a trip or a test, reviewing specific grammar points, or any other goals you may have.
Note: Our policy has changed, to be aligned with other Alliances Françaises across the United States. Starting March 29, 2021, students will no longer get free membership. Instead, students of Alliance Française de Cincinnati will have the option to become members at a discounted rate of only $25/year.
Our instructors can teach online or in person, at our office, at your home, or any other approved location.
Duration and Schedule:
Private lessons are tailored to your needs. Lessons can be purchased as a single 1 hour lesson, a package of 5 1-hour lessons, or a package of 10 1-hour lessons. We suggest purchasing a block of 10 lessons.
The duration of private lessons is 1 hour (unless agreed otherwise).
We also offer private lessons for families of three or more based on specific needs of a family: preparation for a trip abroad, meeting with friends living in a French speaking country, fun of learning together as a family, etc.
1-hour lesson (1 student): $55
1-hour lesson (2 students): $75
1-hour lesson (3 students): $95
Books or materials, if needed, are at additional cost. Your instructor will discuss the need for books with you, and inform you of the related cost.
Mileage fee for in-person lessons will be added, except for private lessons at our office in Kenwood. The current mileage fee is $0.56 per mile, subject to change by the I.R.S.
Private lessons are not refundable. For students who purchased a block of 5- or 10- hours, and who are unable to use all the lessons, the remaining lessons can be transferred to another individual, at no extra cost.
