Préserver le français en Louisiane: 1968-2021
Philippe Gustin, President of the Lafayette International Center of Louisiana will present a unique initiative in the United States, CODOFIL, a program that started fifty years ago in Louisiana, with the objective of preserving and developing the French language in Acadia, a region of Louisiana where French has mixed with créole and local culture to form a unique blend. Philippe is the living memory of CODOFIL and he will share his experience with us during this 1h presentation. The presentation will be in French, with Q&A in english and French.
This event is part of the series dedicated to Louisiana, it is also part of the month-long celebration of Francophonie.
