La tradition orale de la Louisiane française et créole
Nathan Rabalais, Ph.D, Assistant Professor of Francophone Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will talk about oral tradition in French and Créole Louisiana. This presentation will be mostly in French, with discussion with the audience in French or English. M. Rabalais latest book studies how the 'contes' (Aesop's Fables), a century-old tradition in Francophone cultures have evolved in the Acadian culture in Louisiana.
This event is part of the series dedicated to Louisiana, and takes place right before "Le jour de la Francophonie", celebrated on March 20 across the globe.
